[Online] Beginner's Watercolor Class

Join us for a live interactive online class to kickstart your watercolor painting skills!
We’ll talk about watercolor tools and supplies and together we’ll practice mixing colors and basic techniques for painting shapes.
No previous experience necessary and supplies are provided in the accompanying kit!
Follow along and ask questions in real time with instruction and demonstration from our talented Teaching Artists via the Zoom video platform. You’ll log off with the inspiration to get started on your next project!
How to join
Register here and gather the necessary supplies, either by purchasing our supply kit during registration or gathering your own (see list below).
The class will be hosted virtually through Zoom and the details for joining will be emailed to you after you register.
Please note: class time listed is Pacific Time Zone.
Class Supplies
The class supply kit includes:
- Artist-level dried watercolor paint (red, yellow, and blue)
- Round size 8 paint brush
- Round palette with lid
- 15 sheet pack of 5”x7” watercolor paper
- Cotton storage bag
In addition to your kit you'll also need:
- 2 cups of water for rinsing your brush
- A couple paper towels
- Pencil
Cancellation Policy
Please let us know as soon as possible if you're unable to attend. We will issue refunds, transfers, or credits of the class registration fee only ($30) and require contact via email in advance of the class with the request. Once the supplies are shipped or marked as ready for pickup, these are now yours to keep regardless if you're able to attend class!
Teaching Artist

Amanda Donahue is the owner and creator of The Scribblist, a calligraphy, lettering and illustration studio located in Portland, Oregon. With an extensive background in fine art as a painter and sculptor, Amanda brings a touch of whimsy into all aspects of her work, creating pieces that pay homage to beautiful lettering and joyful illustration. She is passionate about teaching and encourages others to discover their own creative voice through calligraphy, lettering and illustrative workshops. When Amanda isn't painting or working on lettering projects, you can find her enjoying a warm cup of tea and spending time with her husband and Goldendoodle pup, Brady.
