[Online] Moss Wall Art Class

Join us for a live virtual online class to create a unique piece of art that brings a stunning bit of nature into your home.

Follow along and ask questions in real time with instruction and demonstration from our talented Teaching Artist via the Zoom video platform. Class time listed is Pacific Time Zone. You’ll log off with the inspiration to get started on your next project!  

Can’t make the scheduled date? No worries! While it’s best to attend the live session to get all your questions answered, it’s not absolutely required. Everyone registered will also receive access to a recording of the class so you can complete the project on your own time. 

In this workshop you’ll learn how to design your own hanging work of art using a variety of mosses and dried natural accents on an 8” square wood frame.

We’ll start by reviewing the types of mosses included in the kit and techniques for securing them to the frame.

You’ll be working with real moss that’s been preserved- so it requires no additional care. Perfect for adding greenery to your space without the stress of figuring out the upkeep!

Next we’ll discuss design approaches to create an interesting composition that resembles a footprint of nature. We’ll work step-by-step to build up the textures, create depth, and apply small accent pieces for the finishing touch. 

Creating with moss is a relaxing and meditative activity that also encourages you to be playful and creative! Perfect for beginners and all supplies are included in the kit. 

Please note: this kit includes a low-temp glue gun that will need to be plugged in during class.

How to join:

During the registration / checkout process, shipping costs for the supply kit will be added to the final total.

Supply kits typically ship about 2 weeks prior to class. Please sign up well in advance to make sure you receive your supply kit in time!

The class will be hosted virtually through Zoom and the details for joining will be emailed to you about 24 hours before class and it will also be included in the supply kit.

If you've registered and are unable to attend the live class, you'll receive access to the recording of the class to complete the project on your own time.
