Learn the jewelry making technique of wire wrapping while creating a stunning set of pendant jewelry!
Wire wrapping is a wonderfully decorative way of setting loose stones of a variety of shapes and styles in your jewelry, without the use of soldering or glues. In this class you’ll learn to twist and interlock wire to create a brilliant pendant necklace and a matching pair of earrings.
You’ll learn all about the ins and outs of jewelry wire and then be guided through the process of working with your hands and pliers to create the wire setting. After practicing the basic techniques, you’ll select from a variety of unique stones or crystals and set to work on your pieces. Leave class with a finished necklace and earrings ready to wear and the confidence to take on more future projects!

teaching artist:
Noelle Vilela has always been drawn to artistic expression via numerous mediums. Living in Portland she has truly found a home as an artist. Feeling inspired by the beautiful city and the quiet power of nature she began noniko in 2010 as an outlet for metal smithing and her one of a kind pieces of jewelry. More recently she has shifted her focus to creating macrame and woven wall art. In 2017 she came on board with Assembly, where she enjoys sharing her knowledge and passion for crafts with students across all skill levels and ages.
