Refund policy

IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS

If Assembly cancels or reschedules:

Assembly reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop due to reasons such as low enrollment or extreme weather conditions. Those who have signed up will be contact ASAP and given the option of a refund or credit.

If a customer cancels or does not show up:

Please note that we do not offer refunds for missed workshops.

If you need to cancel, just let us know by email at least 24 hours in advance, and we’ll issue you a credit to use toward a future class.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are not eligible for credit.

Why? Our workshops require a great deal of pre-planning, including ordering supplies and tools, booking staff, and making commitments to pay our instructors -- all based on the number of students who register. When students ask to cancel or reschedule at the last minute, we lose money. As a small business, we are unable to absorb these costs and still keep our class prices low.  

In fairness to all of our customers, we are unable to make exceptions to our policy, including for reasons of illness or travel. If you are unable to attend a workshop at the last minute, we suggest giving your spot to a friend!

 


CLASS VIDEO + KIT PURCHASES

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like digital-only items, perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14-day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

PRIVATE GROUP CLASS EVENTS

Cancellations

If the customer cancels the scheduled class, the deposit (and any other payments already made) is refundable if notification is received up to 15 business days before the event. After this date, the deposit is non-refundable.

Rescheduling

If the customer requests to reschedule the class, this is possible with no additional fees, if the request is received up to 15 business days before the event.  

Requesting to reschedule between:

  • 8 - 14 business days before the event requires a $300 fee
  • 0 - 7 business days prior to the event requires a $500 fee

Damages and issues (VIRTUAL EVENTS)
Please have your participants inspect their supply kit order upon reception and contact us immediately if an item is missing, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
