Join Assembly Craft Studio at Rio Grande Winery for a hands-on watercolor workshop that's a little different from the usual Sip & Paint. You'll learn watercolor techniques, create two galaxy paintings, and enjoy a beverage along the way.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, we’ll explore techniques like wet-on-wet blending, lifting paint to create depth, splattering to create stars and nebulas, and using tape for crisp borders.
We’ll start by painting our first galaxy together, step by step, so you can practice the techniques and see how they come together. Then, you’ll put those skills to work on a second painting of your own, choosing your colors and creating your own cosmic scene.
You’ll take home two unique galaxy paintings, ready for framing. All art supplies are provided, and no painting experience is needed.
Your registration includes one beverage of your choice, up to $8 in value, from Rio Grande Winery.

If you need to cancel, just let us know by email or text at least 24 hours in advance, and we’ll issue you a credit to use toward a future class.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are not eligible for credit, but feel free to give your spot to a friend.

Our adult workshops are designed for ages 16 and older. Youth ages 12-15 can participate if joining with an adult and both are signed up. Check out our kid classes for ages 6-12 here!

All necessary supplies for the class will be provided. Just bring yourself and an open mindset to trying new things!

The winery serves a variety of wines, beers, cocktails, and other non-alcoholic beverages. One beverage (up to $8 value) is included in your ticket, but you're welcome to purchase more!
They also have a food menu with small bites and meals. While snacking on an appetizer during the class would likely be fine, save the meal for before or after.
