Create a beautiful handmade book you’ll be excited to fill—perfect for journaling, sketching, or creative projects.

In this workshop, you’ll learn Coptic binding, one of the oldest bookbinding techniques, to design, fold, and stitch your own book from cover to cover. This elegant hardcover style features an exposed spine with decorative stitching and opens completely flat, making it especially practical for artists and writers.

You’ll make a 5"×7" blank book and personalize it with your choice of decorative cover papers. Inside, your book will be filled with high-quality 98 lb mixed media pages ready for drawing, painting, writing, or collage.

No experience is necessary. All tools, supplies, and step-by-step instruction are included—just come ready to make something uniquely yours.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please note that we do not offer refunds for missed workshops.

If you need to cancel, just let us know by email at least 24 hours in advance, and we’ll issue you a credit to use toward a future class.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are not eligible for credit, but feel free to give your spot to a friend.

What is the age limit for this class?

Our adult workshops are designed for ages 16 and older. Youth ages 12-15 can participate if joining with an adult and both are signed up. Check out our kid classes for ages 6-12 here!

Do I need to bring any supplies?

All necessary supplies for the class will be provided. Just bring yourself and an open mindset to trying new things!

Additional tools, supplies, or kits may be available for purchase for you to take home and continue the crafting fun.

Can I bring drinks or food with me?

In the studio we serve a variety of hot and cold beverages and small snacks to fuel your crafting. You may also bring in your own lidded drink (water bottle, coffee, etc). No alcohol permitted and no outside food.

Do you offer any discounts?

The best way to get a good deal is our Studio Class Pack Bundles. If you think you might be coming to at least 3 workshops in the next year, consider purchasing the pre-paid bundle of registrations first at the discounted rate. Learn more
