[Online] Punch Needle Class

Join us for a live virtual online class to learn the art of punch needle with a full supply kit provided!

Follow along and ask questions in real time with instruction and demonstration from our talented Teaching Artist via the Zoom video platform. Class time listed is Pacific Time Zone. You’ll log off with the inspiration to get started on your next project!  

Can’t make the scheduled date? No worries! While it’s best to attend the live session to get all your questions answered, it’s not absolutely required. Everyone registered will also receive access to a recording of the class so you can complete the project on your own time. 

Punch needle, a similar craft to rug hooking, results in beautifully textured finished pieces that can be turned into wall hangings, rugs, pillows, bags, and more. This is a super satisfying fiber art that is fairly quick and easy, so it's great for beginners!

In this class you'll practice the punching technique while you work on a beautiful red orange swirls design (pictured). The kit comes with an 8" bamboo hoop frame to mount and hang your work when finished. 

During class we'll also discuss different types of punch tools, fabrics, and fibers that can be used in the future and troubleshoot common issues. While you won't fully finish the project during the class, you'll get a great start on it and all the skills and motivation needed to finish it up on your own.

No experience necessary and supplies provided. The non-slip hoop and punch needle tool included in the kit can be used for countless future projects once you've finished this one!

How to join:

During the registration / checkout process, shipping costs for the supply kit will be added to the final total.

Supply kits typically ship about 2 weeks prior to class. Please sign up well in advance to make sure you receive your supply kit in time!

The class will be hosted virtually through Zoom and the details for joining will be emailed to you about 48 hours before class and it will also be included in the supply kit.

Supply Kit:

The Full Supply Kit includes everything you need (except for a pair of scissors):

• monks cloth fabric
• 7" super grip hoop
• 8" wood hoop for later framing and hanging
• printed pattern and transfer marker
• set of yarn in the appropriate colors and lengths
• adjustable punch needle tool + threader

If you've registered and are unable to attend the live class, you will receive access to the recording of the class to complete the project on your own time.
